Welcome to BrokenOpen.ca! We are Canada’s only company of professional actors specializing in training for Christians. Thank you for taking the time to check us out! You may be visiting us for a number of reasons: perhaps you have been trying to start a drama ministry that hasn’t yet made it off the ground; maybe you have a team but need to take it to the next level; or are you wrestling with the notion that your love for (and gifts in) the performing arts could be a calling? You are why we’re here.

BrokenOpen specializes in equipping, encouraging, and challenging Christian theatre artists. We do not offer you dramatic presentations, we offer you training to present dramatically. As the old saying goes “Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime.”

It is my firm belief that God is calling actors. Are we hearing the call? I have experienced theatre as a place where creativity, worship, instruction, communion and the prophetic may intermingle freely. In North American culture, theatres’ effectiveness extends far beyond the walls of a local church. BrokenOpen is committed to helping you and your community. Have a look around.
